About Jessica

Hi, I’m Jess, a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). My favorite feedback I’ve gotten from a client was that our time together was “uplifting” and that’s how I want you to feel about your nutrition care. Working with a dietitian should never feel like a chore or a punishment. I am here to listen without judgment and learn about what you are struggling with and how I can help. Together we can find ways of including your favorite foods in a dietary pattern that meets your goals and needs. Don’t like to cook? Don’t worry: you aren’t alone, and we can come up with meal and snack ideas that are quick and easy and get you out of the kitchen and on to the fun part (eating!)

We can also talk about eating well on a limited food budget, and that can mean limited time, limited energy, or limited finances. I would love to support you in healthy weight management, but our appointments can also be weight-neutral: you get to decide.

“Progress beats perfection, every time. If that means working hard towards a big major goal you’ve been thinking about for years- great! If instead it means the smallest possible step we can come up with together, today, that makes your diet 1% healthier- that’s equally great.”

Career Highlights & Expertise

Jessica graduated from the University of Washington with a Master of Public Health Nutrition in 2019. She is joining NWH after working for five years at a local nonprofit providing nutrition counseling to people living with food insecurity and complex health needs. Prior to becoming a dietitian, she worked at San Francisco General helping people quit smoking. She has ten years of experience in chronic disease research and loves digging through articles to find answers to complicated questions.

Life Beyond Her Work

Outside of work, Jess loves anything outdoors, especially hiking and camping, and the occasional volunteer adventure with the Washington Trails Association. She is grateful for short flights to Northern California to see her family, including three “niblings” (niece and nephews). She loves animals, has a very cuddly cat, and will pet any dog that greets her out on her walks. She also enjoys crafting…even though her creations always seem to turn out lot different than the inspiration photos.
